Collection contains: one letter to M. Real, Conseiller d'Etat, recommending the sculptor Daujon for a commission (1809) (included with this letter is a note from Daujon to Real pertaining to the same commission); one letter to his student Georges Rouget requesting the return of the clothes of "the prince and princess Louis" (1815); three letters written from Brussels including a letter to Baron Gros outlining his conditions for producing a copy of his "Le Sacre" (1821); one letter to Florimond-Francois Levol concerning the exhibition in Paris of his "Mars desarmé par Venus et les Graces" and lamenting his son Eugene's lack of business sense (1824); one letter to the comte de Forbin recommending the landscape painter Van Hassche who wants to exhibit his work in France (1824); and one letter of 1809 to Degotti, the "décorateur en chef" for the Imperial Academy concerning decorative painting. With one note of Rouget concerning a letter of David (1851).
